Have you ever thought about accessibility to healthcare in third-world nations? Would you like to observe firsthand the healthcare conditions in such a nation? Would you like to be involved in an effort to bring medical attention to underserved rural communities in New Delhi, India?

If so, apply to be a participant in HuMed’s Summer 2012 India Trip!

We will be traveling for three weeks to New Dehli, where we will volunteer both in an urban hospital and in rural areas with little to no access to healthcare or health education.

South Africa: 

The trip to Cape Town, South Africa be for 4 weeks during the month of June. We will partner with the international organization UBELONG** to will work with local organizations in a:

– HIV/AIDS clinic, where we take vitals and serve as otherwise needed

– General clinic, where we will organize workshops to address topics such as nutrition and sexual education

– After-school center, where we will care for kids and teach English

This trip offers participants insight into the health issues faced by communities in sub-Saharan Africa and will provide a valuable learning experience for anyone interested in global health.
